About

I am Tom, an 20 year old student from the South East Coast of England. I studied at the Bishop Luffa CofE School (& Sixth Form) for 7 years, where I gained 12 GCSEs, 3 A-Levels and an additional AS level. I have written a seperate page on my current studies at Bournemouth University, which can be found here.

I have been a member of St John Ambulance for 8 years now, where I have progressed rapidly. I joined as a Cadet, got promoted to Corporal, and then transferred to the Adult Division where I have taken on the role of Head of IT and Communications looking after all things technical! I am also a Badger Helper for the division, looking after the 5-10 year olds!

Since I was little, technology has interested me. I wasn’t really bought up with computers, until I was about 10/11. It was then I realized how the power of computers is truly immense and started building and modifying computers.

Then there was the 56k dial up. I used the Internet to check E-Mails and to do the occasional homework assignment. It wasn’t until I was 13/14 when broadband was introduced to me. It was around this time that I realized the true reality of the World Wide Web. I have since used the Internet in a different way, developing websites and online applications.

I am what a lot of people call an “Internet Geek” but in defence…I have nothing to say :(
